Recycling Phones

At Clarion we are firm believers in Avoiding Waste, Minimising Landfill, Maximising Recycling and creating a Circular Economy within telecoms.

Legislation on recycling is becoming more and more stringent. Moreover, people and businesses actually want to recycle and with good reason. Not only should we be looking to avoid needless landfill but the process of recycling and re-using existing materials is very often more efficient than drawing on a dwindling supply of virgin resources.

As well as helping you to derive the most financial value from your decommissioned and redundant telecoms equipment, we can also help you reduce your impact on the environment and reach your sustainability targets.

The new Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations that came into force on the 1st January 2014 lay out clear requirements on the recovery, reuse and recycling of certain products.

Business equipment that falls under the guidelines include the following categories:

IT & Telecommunications kit
Electronic Tools
Lighting Monitoring and Control Devices
Automatic Dispensers

Such items contain a variety of materials: metal, glass, plastic etc that could be intelligently and productively reused. Equally they may contain hazardous material that could pose a number of health risks, so their recycling or disposal needs to be handled with care.

Any equipment that you pass to Clarion that is not refurbished for reuse is turned into top-grade, recycled commodities for resale in a safe and operationally efficient manner.

So when it comes time to recycle your old telephones, allow us to help you comply with Environmental Legislation, uphold your company objectives on green and sustainable activity, or simply give you peace of mind that you are helping to protect the planet and support circular economy.
